Peruvia Pod

The Peruvia Pod was a minimalistic accomodation solution designed for Wild Modular. Wild Modular is an Australian modular construction startup which specialises in prefabricated accomodation pods. This project was designed for a client looking for a two bedroom and two bathroom pod in a 60m2 foot print.
It was modelled in SketchUp and rendered in VRay.

Design Inspiration

This pod was inspired by scandinavian design with its minimalist approach and light interior finishes. Light natural timbers and deep black panels contrast and highlight design features and emphasise geometry. Custom joinery has also been designed, including the kitchenette, TV stand, lounge room feature wall, and bedheads.
Large windows allowing natural light help maintain an airy interior feel, coupled with subtle LED lighting in the kitchen and bedrooms.

The exterior of the building maintains a minimal and simplistic facade, sporting a corregated cladding to lower costs. This pod can support a deck module with adustable sliding privacy screens. These also utilise the same light coloured timber, and dark black highlights to maintain the design language
All constructional aspects of this design have been modelled to best represent the design to its most realistic nature. This has been achieved in conjunction with the directors of the company to ensure accuracy in the design.
